  1. Similar to what "Beyond Compare" does with graphic files. Simply take two zip files, generate the gerbers and compare them side by side with an option to overlay with transparency. Great for finding small undocumented changes!

  2. When you have multiple gerber files, you're presented with thumbnails of the images and you can click on any one to view it, but there's no way to scrolls through them. Perhaps being able to use the left and right arrows to scroll through, or even previous and next buttons.

  3. When you upload a zip file, it shows a thumbnail of all the files and you can click on any of them. It would be nice if the name of the file was with the thumbnail so you can tell which is which easily.

  6. Gerbers are useless without drilling files. So rendering the drill holes is also a needed step.

  8. Our embedded viewer (see the blog) does a very basic version of this, and has been popular. Should we add it to the main viewer as well?

  9. More than a few of the images we create end up being used for toner-transfer PCB making by enthusiasts. Scale printing would help save some steps.

  10. We know more than half the visitors to our site come from outside the US. How much does that experience need to be improved? We can take some steps to use technologies that put our site "closer" to you, wherever you are in the world.

I’m working on an updated version of the website that will perform much, much better in a global context. This is still a work in progress (aka. “beta”) — if you’d like to give it a try please let me know by email.
